CASA AZUL is a living memory a place where roots breathe and love remains. This piece holds my heart and my origins: memories of my dad at Frida Kahlo’s house, the quiet strength of my mom, the warmth of Cuernavaca, and the vibrant presence of aves del paraíso rising like symbols of freedom and becoming. Created within my Never Look Back language, the figure turns away from the viewer, inviting us to look inward instead. The back becomes a sacred surface where memory, ancestry, and identity are woven together. Color is not decoration here; it is inheritance.
