OTOMI EMBROIDERY
OTOMI EMBROIDERY This piece is inspired by the symbolic language of Otomí embroidery, where birds and flowers represent the harmony between the spiritual and the earthly realms. Traditionally, these motifs tell stories of protection, duality, nature, and ancestral memory. In this work, embroidery transcends textile and becomes skin—a living spiritual map unfolding across the back, the place that carries what has been lived and released. The mirrored birds symbolize the soul in motion and inner freedom, while the flowers speak of transformation and beauty born from authenticity. True to the spirit of Never Look Back, the figure is shown from behind, affirming that identity is not performed for the gaze, but revealed through truth, memory, and becoming.
